Field Day 2024 is a nation-wide activity emphasizing emergency preparedness. Ham Radio operators across the country practice setting up radio stations and making contact with other stations to simulate communicating during emergency conditions, such as the aftermath of tornados or hurricanes.
The Bankhead Amateur Radio Club will be at the Moulton Storm Shelter on Almon Drive (the road behind the Western Sirloin Steakhouse) from Saturday, June 24 at 1:00pm through June 25th at noon. Everyone is welcome to visit, see the activities, and participate! We will offer the opportunity for people to speak on the radio to others in the USA and possibly even other countries.
