The NWS will hold a Storm Spotters class on February 2, 2023 at 6:00pm. The Lawrence County EMA Office will host the class. The address is 555 Walnut, Moulton, AL, 35650. The class will be taught by NWS personnel. No registration is required and the class is free.
These classes are filled with videos and photos to help residents learn about the various types of weather events and how to evaluate their danger levels properly. Even if you’ve attended before, this class is a great refresher and often contains new information and images from recent weather events.
The Bankhead Amateur Radio Club serves the community by providing real-time weather information to the NWS in Huntsville as part of the Skywarn network. Come learn about Storm Spotting and how you can participate in serving your community.
