Although only living in the area temporarily, Jim and Janell Millyard quickly became a vibrant part of the BARC. The Millyards recruited several new hams, coaching them through the learning process to test for (and receive) their Technician licenses. On two occasions, Jim and Janell participated in the National Parks on the Air field events when the BARC activated the Trail of Tears (Park Designator TR12).
Because of their dedication and friendship, the BARC honored Jim and Janell with Honorary Lifetime Membership in our club. Their missionary duties completed, the Millyards will be retiring to their home near Phoenix, Arizona in March 2017. Everyone at the BARC wishes them well in their new adventures.
